The Center for Academic Success

The Center for Academic Success (CAS) at New Mexico State University is a centralized, university-wide academic support service for students from all disciplines. The CAS offers programs such as FREE Tutoring, Learning Skills Workshops, and Standardized Test Preparation (GRE, NMTA, GMAT, etc.) here at New Mexico State University. The most recent addition to the list of services provided is the newly remodeled Computer Lab.

Recently, the Center opened a newly renovated computer lab in their offices, located in Hardman 210. The renovations are a part of a campus wide effort to provide students at New Mexico State University the academic tools to Live, Learn, and Thrive.

The new lab includes 16 computers; 15 of which are PCs and 1 of which is a Mac. The computers are currently loaded with Windows XP Service Pack 2, Adobe Photoshop CS3, and Microsoft Office 2003. Operation Hours are Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm and, although the lab is not open on weekends, it offers a relaxed learning environment for all to enjoy.

There are no pre-requisites needed to enjoy the benefits that this new lab has to offer. All you need is your NMSU Username and SSN for log-on purposes. Unfortunately, this lab is not currently connected to the Blackboard Pay-for-Print System that is in many of the other labs found around campus. However, printing can be done at a mere 5 cents per page.

The Center for Academic Success is located on the second floor of Hardman Hall in room 210.
