If you haven’t heard, the new Learning Management System (LMS), Canvas, will be replacing Blackboard on May 19th! Here’s what that means for you:

Students: If you have course material on Blackboard that is important to you, you should REVIEW and SAVE it now! All Blackboard course content and information will no longer be available after May 18th! So, before the end of the semester, you should:

Review your old course material and save it (flash drive, cloud, hard drive, etc.)!

Drop in on a Canvas ‘OpenLab’ (informational session)! For a complete schedule, click here!

Faculty and Staff: Start preparing today! If you haven’t already had the opportunity to do so, please consider signing up for training today! The LMS Implementation Team has designed and prepared three types of training for your convenience:

Summer Boot Camp – support for Summer Instructors! The LMS Implementation Team has set aside two weeks, beginning Tuesday, May 8th, consisting of 12, 3-hour labs to help you put your course(s) together. Register for the times that are most convenient for you here. If you can’t make any of our sessions, please consider sending your Graduate Assistant our way!
