What is NMSU's Policy on copyright infringment? 

NMSU requires its student, faculty, and staff to comply with the Copyright Law of 1976 and its amendments (Title 17, United States Code), including the Digital Millennium Copyright Act of 1998.  For more information visit Chapter 2, Section 2.35.1.1.1 of the NMSU Policy Manual.

CANVAS ARRIVING SOON!

If you haven't heard, the new Learning Management System (LMS), Canvas, will be replacing Blackboard on May 19th! Here's what that means for you:

Students: If you have course material on Blackboard that is important to you, you should REVIEW and SAVE it now! All Blackboard course content and information will no longer be available after May 18th! So, before the end of the semester, you should:

• Review your old course material and save it (flash drive, cloud, hard drive, etc.)!
• Drop in on a Canvas 'OpenLab' (informational session)! For a complete schedule, click here!

Faculty and Staff: Start preparing today! If you haven't already had the opportunity to do so, please consider signing up for training today! The LMS Implementation Team has designed and prepared three types of training for your convenience:

• Summer Boot Camp - support for Summer Instructors! The LMS Implementation Team has set aside two weeks, beginning Tuesday, May 8th, consisting of 12, 3-hour labs to help you put your course(s) together. Register for the times that are most convenient for you here. If you can't make any of our sessions, please consider sending your Graduate Assistant our way!

6th Annual Technology Day

In its sixth year, ICT’s Technology Day has become a mainstay in annual NMSU events. We have continued to draw attention from the university community which includes students, faculty and staff. The 6^th Annual Technology Day was held in Corbett Center Student Union on the 27^th of September 2011. We had 18 organizations attend that showcased different technologies ranging from up and coming Apple products to on campus computer assistance.

In this year’s event, more than 200 students and 100 faculty and staff participated. The overall success of the event could be attributed to the marketing campaign instituted across campus. This included flyers, posters, announcements in general ED classes as well as the UNIV-150 classes, full color advertisements in the Round-Up (online version as well), radio spots and an on-air interview with a DJ during a prime spot in the morning rush at KRUX,  and chalking along the main walkways of the university campus.
